Gear: Road Helmet, jacket and gloves can also be hired if needed for a fee $30 per week or part thereof. Helmet and gloves, helmet and jacket or helmet alone - $20.
Off road gloves available for $5 per hire, helmets, other gear coming soon.
Insurance: All road bikes are now covered by comprehensive insurance, which attracts a flat fee of $50, regardless of the hire duration.
Hirers are welcome to arrange their own comprehensive insurance or transfer existing insurance, but we will need to see and verify all the paperwork before the rental can commence.
Unfortunately we cannot offer 3rd party damage insurance to under 21's or riders who have been licensed for less than 2 years, but we can offer insurance that will cover damage to the bike only. The other option for you guys is to arrange your own insurance for any of our applicable bikes, or take one of our GN250's at your own risk. Many do, and we don't mind either way, as the GN250's are older bikes that are very user friendly yet bullet proof. Arranging your own insurance has proven easy in the past, just cancel the policy on return of the bike. Easy :). All you need is the bike's Rego and VIN#.
All bikes are covered for 3rd party injury.
DID YOU KNOW? - Most car and bike insurers will allow you to transfer any current cover you may have on to our bikes, as long as your current vehicle is of greater value than your bike of choice. For example, if your vehicle (car or bike) is off the road for repairs, your insurance will generally give you the same cover for a replacement vehicle until yours is back on the road. In the case of an insurance repair, your insurer will usually reimburse you the cost of a hire vehicle while yours is off the road.
Insurance excess varies from bike to bike.
For hire of track bikes, hirer must have either a full road licence or an MA or equivalent race licence.
Deposit: To secure a bike for hire, one day's hire fee is required, payable in person, via PayPal transfer to sales@sydneymotorbikes.net, by credit card online or via bank transfer (email hire@sydneymotorbikes.net for account details).
For each bike hired, a credit card security deposit is needed, or cash, bank transfer or bank cheque.
